Un festival de l’image imprimée à Charleroi
Créé en 2016 à Charleroi par Corinne Clarysse et Nicolas Belayew du collectif « 6001 is the new 1060 » en collaboration avec le BPS22 et le Vecteur, Papier Carbone est un festival de l’image imprimée qui s’adresse à tous ! La programmation s’adresse tant aux curieux qu’aux professionnels. Le festival s’articule autour de 2 grands axes :
- La promotion et la découverte du monde de l’image imprimée. Montrer la richesse de cet univers qui regroupe tant de disciplines et de savoir-faire : illustration, graphisme, estampe, risographie, reliure… Et au travers de ces techniques, c’est également l’occasion de mettre en avant la micro-édition.
- Le rassemblement d’une communauté d’artistes venant des quatre coins de l’Europe ! Belgique, France, Italie, UK… L’occasion de rencontrer de nouveaux artistes et qui sait, d’initier de nouveaux projets.
Grâce au salon, vous aurez l’occasion de flâner entre les stands pour feuilleter, admirer, découvrir et acheter des productions toutes aussi originales les unes que les autres mais surtout vous pourrez rencontrer et échanger avec les artistes, collectifs, maisons d’édition… mais le programme est bien plus large. Durant trois jours, le festival vous propose de décortiquer l’image imprimée sous toutes ses formes : projections, expositions, concerts, performances, présentations de livres, conférences et ateliers.
A printed matter festival in Charleroi
Created in 2016 in Charleroi by Corinne Clarysse et Nicolas Belayew from the artists collective « 6001 is the new 1060 » in collaboration with BPS22 and le Vecteur, Papier Carbone is a printed matted festival adressing to everyone ! The program is design to satisfy the everyman as well as the professionals from the sector. The festival is revolving around two axis :
- Promoting and discovering printed matter. We want to show the riches of this universe made of many craftsmanship : illustration, graphic design, all kind of printing, risography, bookbinding… And trough these techniques, we also want to present the numerous creations of the small press publishers
- Gathering a large community of artists coming from allover Europe : Belgium France, UK, Italy, Germany… Each year is the opportunity of meeting new artists and maybe to start a project with some of them.
The fair will allow you to wander between the stalls to admire, discover and buy the original productions of the artists and publishing houses, but also to meet and have a chat with those who created it… But there is more ! During three days, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the universe of printed arts trough screenings, performances, conferences, workshops and more.
