The heart of the festival unfolds at BPS22. 65+ Belgian, French and international publishers and artists present zines, posters, artists' books and micro-editions. 

Bonus: about fifteen art schools will also be present to showcase their work and animate the festival.

Karine Locatelli

Karine Locatelli is a landscape artist from the Charlevoix region of Quebec. Heir to the plein air tradition, she spends two months at BPS22 exploring the Charleroi Black Country through her sensitive drawings. Exhibited in Canada, Europe and the United States, her works are in public and private collections, including those of the Musée d'art contemporain de Baie-Saint-Paul and Hydro-Québec.

Fotokino

Based in Marseille for over 20 years, Fotokino offers a space for experimentation for artists and the public. Here, a selection of publications — from posters to limited editions — and a set of posters created for the Laterna Magica festival by Benoît Jacques, Blexbolex, Atak and many others. 

Accompanied by prints by Nathalie Du Pasquier, Kitty Crowther and Philippe Weisbecker.

The Bureau des Affaires Lexicales (B.A.L.) is an administration that pays keen attention to lexical things — word of the day elections, typographic peddling, objects to manipulate. 

Born during the exhibition "Les champs sémantiques" in 2021, the B.A.L. deploys its tools between graphic design, performance and collective play.

Julie Legrand

"Objet : Cafetière" — monograph around an iconic everyday object.

A central figure of Julie Legrand's graphic universe, the coffee pot unfolds in thematic series since 2021, in many versions through drawings, collages and fanzines.

Julie is an illustrator, screen printer and graphic designer based in Sète. Exhibition visible from May 7 to 24.

Charlotte Burgaud

ICI BIENTÔT — Multitool artist, Charlotte Burgaud takes over the empty windows of downtown Charleroi. 

Cardboard, small motors, glue, scissors: she brings life back where everything seemed deserted. What's going on behind? Is anyone there?

Poster Rex

Poster Rex, project co-founded by Lars Harmsen (Slanted) and Markus Lange, born in Havana in 2014 and declined worldwide. 

Each session produces collective screenprinted posters, conceived as graphic statements addressing contemporary issues.

Good coffee, beers & vibes in Ville Haute. Specialty coffee, craft beers, vinyls and vintage decor — a cozy and warm place run by Massimo, where you come for coffee in the morning and beers in the evening.

PBA — Palais des Beaux-Arts

Art Deco jewel built in 1957, adorned with black marble and an original luminous ceiling. Large hall of 1,800 seats, renovated Hangar of 1,000 m² and brand new Studio PBA — transdisciplinary creation space for live arts.
